We are a team of likeminded creators who started a studio because we found that we all loved making games and building worlds together. Our first project, Through the Stars, was created because we wanted to play a tabletop roleplaying game set in a sci-fi universe of our own design. We discovered quickly, that we were having just as much fun creating the game as we were playing it. We began creating music, art, and unique mechanics. After a few months of putting things together, we decided to start our own studio.

We make games on our own time. We follow our own deadlines, and we work the hours we can. We can afford to work this way because we all have jobs that pay our bills, separate from our creative projects at Latent Arcana. In the future, we’d love to fund our projects entirely on the revenue from our games, but until then, we will continue to work the way that we do, at the speed that we do, to create games of the highest quality.

We’re dedicated to designing and creating games that are meant to be shared and played by everyone, and we believe that whatever someone makes at Latent Arcana belongs to them as much as it belongs to the studio. We want everyone at the studio to have a part in what we accomplish. We make video games, tabletop games, music, and art. We make these things because we love to make them. We want to share our games with the world, and having our own studio helps us do that.
